Your Child’s Screen Time Can Affect Sleep and Focus

Screens are powerful tools. Without limits, they can also interfere with a child’s sleep, attention, behavior, and daily routine.

Children and teens need sleep, movement, real-world play, family interaction, outdoor time, and quiet time without constant digital stimulation. Screens in the bedroom, late-night videos, gaming, and endless scrolling can make it harder for the brain to calm down and prepare for rest.

A child does not need unlimited screen access to be modern.

Simple steps you can take today:

Keep screens out of the bedroom at night.
Avoid screens at least 1 hour before bedtime.
Set clear family screen rules.
Replace some screen time with movement or outdoor play.

At INMUHEALTH, prevention begins with education and routine check-ups, which include wellness monitoring, lifestyle risk assessment, laboratory testing when necessary, and referrals to specialized care.
