HIV Testing & Care Guidance

Confidential HIV testing, education, result review, follow-up guidance, and connection to care when needed. HIV services are a major public health priority in Florida, and patient care programs may include medical care, case management, medication support, and related services for eligible patients.

STD Testing & Treatment Guidance

Private testing and guidance for common sexually transmitted infections, including chlamydia, gonorrhea, syphilis, HIV, hepatitis, and other concerns. Many STDs may not cause symptoms, so testing is an important step for prevention and early treatment.

PrEP for HIV Prevention

PrEP is a prevention option for people who are HIV-negative and want added protection against HIV. Florida Health describes PrEP as a comprehensive HIV prevention strategy using oral or injectable antiretroviral medication.

PEP After Possible HIV Exposure

PEP is emergency HIV prevention after a possible exposure and must be started as soon as possible. Florida Health states that PEP should begin within 72 hours of exposure and is typically taken for 28 days under medical guidance.

Hepatitis C Testing & Follow-Up

Hepatitis C testing helps identify infection early and determine the right next steps. Lab testing may include Hepatitis C antibody testing and, when needed, follow-up RNA testing to confirm current infection.

Tuberculosis Testing & Evaluation

Tuberculosis, or TB, can affect the lungs and other parts of the body. TB may be inactive/latent or active disease, and testing should be paired with proper follow-up evaluation and care planning. Miami-Dade’s TB program highlights symptoms such as cough lasting three weeks or longer, chest pain, coughing blood, fever, night sweats, fatigue, and weight loss.

Lab Work & Result Review

Lab testing plays a major role in infectious disease care. Miami-Dade laboratory services include testing connected to STI, HIV-PrEP, tuberculosis, Hepatitis C, syphilis, gonorrhea, trichomoniasis, and other health concerns.

Education, Prevention & Care Options

We help patients understand their results, prevention options, treatment possibilities, and next steps clearly. The goal is not only testing — it is helping you know what to do next.
