Your Phone May Be Disrupting Your Sleep

Your phone is not just a device. At night, it can become a sleep disruptor.

Late-night phone use can expose your eyes to bright light, delay your bedtime, stimulate your brain, and keep your body from entering proper rest mode. Evening screen exposure can interfere with the body’s circadian rhythm and melatonin signaling, especially when combined with scrolling, messages, videos, and constant notifications.

Bad sleep does not stay in the bedroom. It can affect energy, mood, focus, cravings, metabolism, and overall wellness.

Simple steps you can take today:

Stop phone use at least 30 to 60 minutes before sleep.
Keep your phone away from your bed.
Use night mode and lower brightness after sunset.
Turn off nonessential notifications at night.

At INMUHEALTH, prevention begins with education and routine check-ups, which include wellness monitoring, lifestyle risk assessment, laboratory testing when necessary, and referrals to specialized care.
